Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Roving Patrol in Bessemer, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols and visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms, and support access control as needed. You will deliver standout customer service and clear communication while documenting activity and escalating concerns. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, loading areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by post orders, and help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or damage to property.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and local emergency services when needed.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation, and communicate notable activity to supervisors and/or incoming officers during shift transitions.
