About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Roving Driver Patrol in Commercial Point, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide strong customer service, clear communication, and quick support to staff and guests. This is a driving post requiring a Valid Driver's License ‐ AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, store teams, and property management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, shoplifting-related concerns, medical calls, and property issues.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the sales floor, common areas, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, directing guests as needed, supporting traffic flow during peak shopping periods, and reporting suspicious activity.
- Complete required reports and logs, communicate with supervisors and local responders as needed, and assist with opening and closing procedures according to site-specific policies.
