About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Roving Clearance Required in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer-focused service. Requirements

• Have at least 2+ years of security experience.
• Have an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and/or verifying authorization for restricted areas in accordance with site policy.
• Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate observations to site leadership, and support investigations by preserving information and/or evidence as directed.
