Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, offering directions and support while following site protocols for restricted areas and sensitive departments.
  • Support hospital operations by assisting with de-escalation, handling routine inquiries, and communicating with staff and/or first responders during medical or facility-related events.
