About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rover Driving in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed, driving patrol officer supporting a financial institution location. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will also document activity using a computer and/or tablet while delivering a caring, people-first customer experience grounded in integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Requirements

• At least 1+ years of security experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of lobbies, offices, ATM areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas, assist with visitor management, and verify credentials as required by site procedures.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public emergency services when needed.
• Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and patrol observations, and communicate noteworthy information during shift turnover.
