About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Route Driver in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech data center location as an unarmed Patrol Officer in a driving post, using a valid driver’s license. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site management and/or emergency services as required by post orders.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor and control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and delivery logs, and directing authorized personnel to the appropriate location.
Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate clearly via radio and/or phone, and assist with preserving the area for follow-up review when incidents occur.
