About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Retail Patrol in Irvine, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Your role will include conducting routine patrols, assisting guests, and providing outstanding customer service. You will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere by communicating clearly and responding to situations with professionalism, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Being at least 21 years of age is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a welcoming environment.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential hazards within the location, communicating findings to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access within the retail or mall environment.
Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations by following established protocols and providing assistance as directed.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned location to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to patrons and tenants.
