As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will greet staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism, communicate clearly, and document observations with attention to detail. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures and/or access requirements at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other systems as assigned, and communicate unusual activity through established reporting and escalation channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance with emergency response activities as directed by site leadership and/or local responders.
  • Complete accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and pass-down communication, and support badge, key, and visitor management processes as assigned.
