About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Post in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, support access control and visitor flow, and respond to reports with calm, clear communication. You will deliver outstanding customer service while using Allied Universal tools and technology as needed. Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors in a retail or mall location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout store areas, common areas, back-of-house spaces, loading docks, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspected theft activity, medical calls for service, and/or property damage, and request additional support as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity on the floor and via camera systems when available, reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations according to site instructions.
• Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate with site management and Allied Universal leadership, and document incidents, patrols, and follow-up actions.
