About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Plant Rover in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy food and beverage location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control as needed. You will be a friendly, professional presence, communicating clearly with staff and guests while documenting observations and concerns. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures at a food and beverage location, and when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating concerns per site guidelines.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Control access by checking identification and/or visitor authorization, verifying deliveries, and directing traffic flow in designated areas as assigned.
Complete shift logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations and status updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
