About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Plant Patrol in Martin, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver customer-focused support during day-to-day operations. Requirements

Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken.
Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, office spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Monitor and control access at designated entry points, including verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing visitors to authorized check-in areas.
Observe for and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized access attempts, and security-related hazards, and relay concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
Perform security-related rounds of shipping and receiving areas, helping to identify unusual activity around docks, trailers, and delivery vehicles.
Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity reports, and shift logs with accurate times, locations, and actions taken.
Operate communications equipment and site systems as assigned, including radios, phones, and visitor management tools.
Assist with contractor and vendor processing by confirming authorization, communicating site rules, and routing to appropriate points of contact.
Support emergency response activities as directed, including area checks, access control support, and coordination with local responders when requested.
Provide directions and general assistance to employees and visitors, maintaining a professional presence consistent with Allied Universal standards.
Follow post orders and site procedures while maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter unwanted activity.
