About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Perimeter Rounds in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. You will deliver welcoming customer service, clear communication, and quick assistance for employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and data center location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points, including checks of doors, gates, loading areas, and other controlled spaces.
  • Monitor access control points and electronic systems such as cameras, alarms, and/or badge readers, reporting irregular activity per post orders.
  • Document activities, incidents, and patrol findings in written reports and/or electronic logs, and assist with visitor, vendor, and contractor processing per site procedures.
