About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms and visitor concerns, and document observations using site technology. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior galleries, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and assist with queue management and visitor screening procedures as directed by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disruptive behavior, alarms, and/or requests for assistance, and notify appropriate personnel.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and location representatives, and support drills and special events as assigned.
