About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Shepherdsville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and media location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document observations with clear communication. You will greet employees and visitors with service-focused professionalism while responding to security-related concerns as part of a supportive team. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of Security Experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a technology workplace.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, work areas, loading or receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
  • Monitor alarms, access control activity, and/or security-related video systems, and report issues or suspicious activity according to post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with coordination of notifications, access management, and scene control until additional resources arrive.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and maintenance concerns, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
