Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe any unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
Document observations, occurrences, and incidents according to Allied Universal procedures and client requirements.
Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and/or law enforcement as needed.
Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain knowledge of site-specific protocols and security-related procedures.
