Security Officer - Unarmed Patrols

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Site Rover in Lisle, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor flow, document observations using a computer and/or tablet, and deliver helpful customer service with clear communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and other security-related protocols at an industrial location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and supporting emergency response activities as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter, watching for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and potential hazards and/or policy violations.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems when assigned, and document observations and incident details in written logs and reports.
- Support controlled access at gates and/or entrances by verifying identification, maintaining visitor and delivery records, and directing traffic flow for deliveries and contractor activity.
