About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrolman in Hattiesburg, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with strong communication and customer service, document activity, and support site operations with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and verify visitor entry requirements, issue and/or check badges when assigned, and direct visitors to appropriate destinations in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and service requests in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from Allied Universal leadership and/or local responders as needed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and incoming personnel.
