Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarms as needed. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and responders, and deliver a customer-focused presence. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders within a technology-focused location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes, documenting observations and reporting concerns per site policy.
Monitor access points and support access control activities such as checking identification as directed, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and assisting with visitor processing and/or deliveries.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and service calls in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or emergency services as required and completing accurate incident reports.
Perform routine security-related checks of doors, gates, and critical areas, help to identify unusual conditions, and communicate findings to the appropriate parties using site communication tools.
