About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Representative in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, helping to identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to support authorized entry procedures and directing patients, guests, and/or staff to appropriate departments or resources as needed.
• Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, policy concerns, and/or maintenance issues, and by assisting with de-escalation and customer service interactions when appropriate.
