As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to requests, document observations, and communicate clearly while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients and/or visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including corridors, entrances, parking areas and perimeter, reporting unusual activity, hazards and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, managing visitor sign-in, and directing individuals to approved destinations per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions per post orders and reporting requirements.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, support chain-of-custody related processes as assigned, and maintain a professional presence that supports security-related operations.
