About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Muncie, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations through clear communication and professional customer service. You will complete routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, and coordinate with site contacts and Allied Universal teammates, bringing agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per protocol.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining sign-in logs, and directing traffic to designated areas.
  • Complete routine security-related reports and shift logs, communicate unusual conditions to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership, and support investigations with detailed observations.
