About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Unarmed Patrol in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned healthcare locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while creating a welcoming atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

  • At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as required during incidents or drills.
  • Support access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas within the healthcare environment.
