About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the healthcare environment.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized persons on the premises.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including providing information and support to emergency personnel.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of activities, incidents, and observations during assigned shifts.
  • Communicate professionally with all individuals encountered during patrols, providing assistance as needed while upholding Allied Universal standards.
