Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Fountain Inn, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe operations, and document concerns clearly while providing strong customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery driver check-in processes, including verifying identification and directing individuals according to site requirements.
- Respond to alarms, reports of suspicious activity, and/or incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site leadership and emergency services as needed.
- Complete routine documentation such as shift reports and incident reports, and monitor cameras and/or other security-related systems when assigned.
