As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, support access control, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while using a computer and/or tablet as needed. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government facility.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, corridors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access by verifying identification and authorization, screening visitors and deliveries, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting disturbances, medical situations, and/or maintenance hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed written reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
