About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Tech Site in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic tech environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure and welcoming atmosphere. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you interact with a diverse community, providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the location by vehicle as well as on foot. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any irregularities.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas as required by site policies.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or any unusual activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Communicate and collaborate with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management to address questions and provide assistance as needed.
• Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift, adapting to changing environments and conditions at the technology-focused location.
