You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and local public agencies as directed.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, observe for suspicious or unusual activity, and assist with visitor direction and/or de-escalation in accordance with post orders.
  • Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant security-related information to supervision and the client representative.
