About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents, and assist staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism. You will complete routine rounds, communicate clearly, document observations, and respond to concerns with integrity. Requirements
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, alarms, and access issues.
- Monitor access points and sensitive areas, assisting with visitor direction, authorized entry, and reporting of suspicious behavior and/or hazards.
- Complete timely documentation such as patrol logs and incident reports, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
