About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet customers and staff, respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront corridors, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, loading areas, and other key locations; observe for suspicious behavior and report concerns per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and/or local responders as needed.
• Complete required documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity reports, and communicate relevant updates during shift briefings.
