Security Officer Morning
About The Position
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Sentinel in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. At a premier retail location, our Security Officers conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This unarmed patrol role offers the chance to support guests, staff, and daily operations while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach, with a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity at the center of every interaction.
Requirements
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the sales floor, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
- Monitor assigned areas for unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, and/or operational issues, and report security-related concerns according to location procedures.
- Assist with access control, crowd management, and/or directional support during busy shopping periods, store opening and closing activities, and special events.
