As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and provide customer service with professionalism. You will support a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and/or media and/or telecom location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from onsite contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points, observing for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, checking identification and/or credentials when required, directing visitors, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts per site procedures.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate security-related observations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
