As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and monitor activity around docks, yards, and access points. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and support operations with customer-focused service, teamwork, and integrity in a caring, agile, and reliable culture.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures and post orders at a logistics and distribution location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the warehouse, loading docks, trailer yard, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and access points as assigned, and document security-related observations, unusual conditions, and policy violations according to reporting requirements.
- Assist with access control by checking identification, managing visitor and driver sign-in processes, and directing traffic flow at entrances, gates, and receiving areas per site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency responders when appropriate and completing timely incident reports.
