About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Response in Westlake Village, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Requirements

  • Must have 1+ years of security experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, community-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random vehicle and/or foot patrols throughout the residential community, including entrances, common areas, amenities, and perimeter, noting unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and help to control vehicle and pedestrian entry by verifying authorization, following visitor and delivery procedures, and directing traffic as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, noise complaints, suspicious activity, and medical situations, and request additional assistance when needed.
  • Complete detailed patrol and incident reports, maintain shift logs, and communicate observations and/or concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal management.
