Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Responder
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Responder in Canal Winchester, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe operations, document activity, and communicate clearly with team members and site contacts. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and facility personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting and documenting observations per site requirements.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter routes, with working conditions varying by location and shift.
- Monitor access points for employees, visitors, and drivers, assisting with badge checks, visitor logs, and/or directing deliveries to the appropriate receiving areas.
- Observe shipping, receiving, and staging areas for suspicious activity or hazards and communicate concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
