About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Team in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following post orders, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate at a government location serving vulnerable populations.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and activities according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry when required, and report unusual behavior, maintenance concerns, and other security-related issues to site contacts and/or supervisors.
Support a professional environment by interacting respectfully with staff, visitors, residents, and/or members of the public while helping to deter unauthorized activity and policy violations.
