As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location, you will complete routine rounds throughout buildings and grounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm, professional communication. You will document observations, support staff, patients, and visitors with customer-focused service, and work as a team with hospital partners. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor check-in, directions, and control of restricted areas in accordance with facility requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, requesting medical and/or law enforcement assistance as needed, and supporting staff instructions.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
