Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Investigator in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support employees and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting using computer and/or tablet tools. Requirements

• Have at least 1 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or more years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, verifying identification and/or authorization as required by post orders and directing individuals to the appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to Allied Universal management and/or local emergency services when needed.
• Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift summaries, communicating relevant information to oncoming personnel and site contacts.
