As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist customers and tenants with directions and questions, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your team. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify conditions that should be reported.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalating to onsite management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and service corridors, assist with wayfinding, and report unauthorized entry attempts, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior.
• Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity summaries, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
