About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Government Complex in Lido Beach, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and company protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff as required.
Document incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
Assist with access control procedures and/or visitor management as directed by site policies.
Support emergency response efforts on site, including assisting with evacuations or other urgent situations.
