About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Coverage in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a cultural institution location.
Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating clearly with staff, guests, and first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public spaces, staff areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, observe visitor traffic, and support orderly entry and exit processes in accordance with location protocols and posted guidelines.
Document incidents, routine activities, and notable observations, and relay relevant information to supervisors and/or location contacts in a timely manner.
