As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to alarms as needed, while using a computer and/or tablet to document activity and communicate clearly. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, unauthorized access concerns, and parking or perimeter issues.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, corridors, laboratories and/or clinical areas, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and help to verify identification, visitor logs, and/or badge compliance in accordance with site policies, escalating concerns through the appropriate channels.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate status updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
