Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help identify and report security-related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements, supporting mobile patrols and quick response across the site. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, yards, parking areas and perimeter points, checking gates, fencing, substations and other utility assets for unusual activity.
  • Control access by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or vehicle entry, and documenting deliveries and contractor activity in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, monitor alarms and/or cameras when assigned, and assist with basic traffic and pedestrian direction during outages, repairs and planned work.
