Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Courthouse Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government port location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols as a driving post, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. Requirements
- Possess a TSA Issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location with controlled access areas.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, docks, yards, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, and visitors; document entries, exits, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with site representatives and public emergency services as needed.
- Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and observations, and promptly report suspicious activity, property damage, and/or policy violations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
