Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Ankeny, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support site personnel with professional customer service. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and use basic computer or tablet tools to report activity. Requirements

• Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify site leadership and/or public responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Control access to the facility by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials as required, and directing visitors and contractors according to site procedures.
• Complete timely reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, and observations; communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
