As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supporting mobile patrols and quick response across the property. You will deliver high-touch customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and always acts with integrity.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns for reporting.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, including directing foot traffic, verifying authorization where required, and/or supporting restricted-area controls in accordance with site policies.
- Complete shift reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and support continuity of operations during shift change.
