As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication to employees and visitors. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing and/or logistics location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, equipment-related concerns, and/or unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, parking lots, shipping and receiving docks, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential hazards, with working conditions varying by site.
- Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and monitoring for prohibited items per site policy.
- Complete shift logs, patrol documentation, and incident reports, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
