Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Sandy Level, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated utility locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to alarms, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
Monitor access points and observe activities within the location to help to deter security-related risks.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.
Assist visitors and employees with directions, information, and security-related inquiries as needed.
Collaborate with local emergency responders and/or site personnel during emergency situations.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any maintenance or hazards observed during patrols.
