About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Nottingham, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support tenants and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, parking areas, loading and dock areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns.
  • Monitor access points and building activity, verify credentials as required by post orders, and assist with visitor management and/or contractor check-in processes.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, assisting with scene control, and supporting responding personnel as directed.
  • Complete detailed shift activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate significant observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
