About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Associate in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and provide professional customer service while communicating clearly with staff, students, and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government educational location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor check-in processes according to site procedures, assisting staff with directing visitors, students, and/or deliveries to the appropriate location.
• Complete accurate written reports and incident logs, communicate observations to site contacts, and support security-related investigations as directed by site leadership.
