About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Night Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff and drivers with clear communication, document observations, and escalate concerns as needed. Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting actions taken and coordinating with local emergency services when required.
• Control entry and exit of employees, contractors, and delivery drivers by checking identification, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and directing traffic flow in designated areas.
